As I am writing the first part of this blog I am on my way to Belfast to stay over with the Victory Scholars there because I have an early flight out of Belfast International tomorrow morning. There are definitely a lot of different thoughts going through my head right now on this bus ride. The first one being I hope everything goes as planned and I get home tomorrow! Another one is I can’t believe my time over here is nearly halfway over. It feels like just yesterday I was landing in Dublin for the first time. Looking back on the first four months here I couldn’t wish for anything more. Furthermore, I surely feel relieved that the first semester of school is over. I think next semester should be a little easier so I feel like I got the hardest part out of the way. Lastly, and most importantly I can’t wait to see all my friends and family back home! I have been without my phone for the past couple weeks so I have had very limited conversations with all of them. Therefore, I really am excited to catch up and see them again. I have a lot of fun things planned for the holidays too so it should be fantastic. My family and I always go to Florida for Christmas so I’m looking forward to sitting on the beach and jumping in the ocean!

Despite all the final presentations and projects due this past week, all I was thinking about was getting to see my family and friends so if you can’t already tell I’m really pumped about it.

As I am sitting here wrapping up the second part of this blog as I am sitting on the plane ride home thinking about how much was accomplished and also how much work still lies ahead. I think it will definitely be good for me to get back home and get away for a little. This way I will come back completely refreshed and ready to finish out the school and basketball year on a strong note. Going home is something that I was always able to do in college. I think it is one of the best things for me in many different ways. I also came back to school completely refreshed and stronger. I’m sure these two weeks home will do the same!

Anyway, I cannot wait to get off this flight and back to my hometown, Wildwood Crest!

I will talk more about my time home in my next blog! Merry Christmas everyone!
