Just being their for a young person on a regular occurrence can help make some ones day. Whether it’s a high-five or a smile that a young person needs or advice on how to create a C.V, how to study for exams or even a friend ear to talked to, your role as a mentor will not only shape the young people you are working with but will help define you as a person and how you want to live a positive and health lifestyle helping others change their lives through sport.
Our Volunteer coaching staff on our award winning EHOOPS youth engagement program always come from every sport imaginable from gymnastics, athletics, badminton, dance and yoga to rugby, soccer, gealic, basketball and boxing we teach a wide variety of sports during our EHOOPS sessions and we are always interested in working with like minded coaches willing to share their skills and knowledge with young people who may never have the opportunity to participate in multi sports.
As a Volunteer EHOOPS coach you must have the energy to work with young people who are keen to learn and have fun as well as being able to be a responsible role model teaching through inspiration and leadership.
Have you ever wanted to run a charity fundraiser with a cake sale, car boot sale, pub-quiz or corporate golf day all in the aid of a charity? “Volunteers win by turning up.” The most important skill for a volunteer is commitment. Some athletic ability is required for coaching however we are always looking for tutors who may have skills that can help a young person in our workshops.
