Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Steph Poland and I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University as a Political Science major and a Writing and Rhetoric minor. At Colgate, I played on the Varsity Women’s basketball team for all four years, and I was awarded captain my senior year. I was also a member of the Student Government Association for three years and I was selected to be a member of Colgate’s Konosioni Senior Honor Society at the end of my junior year.

I am incredibly honored to join the Sport Changes Life family as a Victory Scholar. I will be attending Maynooth University and receiving my masters in International Peace Building, Security, and Development Practice. I look forward to playing basketball and continuing my education, but I am most excited to work with the children in Ireland. Basketball has brought me to amazing people, afforded me countless opportunities, and most importantly it has helped shape my character. I cannot wait to share my love of the game with others and watch their dreams unfold just as mine have throughout my career.
