On Friday 30th November we had our Sport Changes Life lunch 2018, our annual fundraising event took place in Titanic Hotel Belfast. There was an exciting line up of a Festive lunch, a live auction with a variety of fantastic items and experiences and a Slam Dunk challenge. Pete Snodden, Cool FM breakfast show presenter held a sporting Q&A session with the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic Ambassadors Kieran Donaghy, 3 time Olympic Gold Medalist, Katie Smith, Rory Best and Sean Cavanagh. Our annual fundraising event raises funds to allow Sport Changes Life to work in disadvantaged communities to help young people find a path to a brighter future with the help of our international student-athletes, the Victory Scholars. Andrew Trimble, one of hosts for the afternoon comments on how Sport has effected his life,

“Sport Changes Life does amazing stuff and gives kids opportunities, for me personally, I got opportunities that were offered me that I wouldn’t have got elsewhere. Sport certainly changed my life and gave me the chance to experience that teamwork, leadership, comradery, even just the physical wellness that comes with playing in a team sport.”

The funds raised at our Sport Changes Life lunch 2018 helps us, as a foundation to inspire, raise hope and help young people believe in victory. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us on our Road to Victory.
