US college basketball stars will play in a tournament next year at Belfast’s SSE Arena organised by the sport’s Massachusetts-based Basketball Hall of Fame.
Basketball Hall of Fame representative Paul Lambert says the decision to stage the tournament in Belfast in November 2017 will be an attempt to “take our game, our sport, our museum, our Hall of Fame beyond (our base) in Springfield”.
“We have organised a series of events around the US and we’re also trying to spread our wings internationally,” said the Basketball Hall of Fame official.
