Sport Changes Life Launches the Kingsbridge Foundation Victory Programme 2025/26

November 28th, 2025 | NEWS

Sport Changes Life (SCL) is proud to announce the launch of the Victory Programme for 2025/26, marking another exciting chapter in one of the foundation’s flagship initiatives.

Since its creation, the Victory Programme has supported 191 Victory Scholars –  deserving student-athletes from across the world who have come to Ireland to pursue postgraduate study, play their sport, and deliver impactful community outreach. These Scholars have helped shape the identity and legacy of Sport Changes Life, inspiring thousands of young people through their leadership both on and off the court.

Last year, Sport Changes Life expanded the programme for the first time by introducing 2 Victory Intern roles, an opportunity designed to further strengthen community impact and provide greater opportunities for emerging leaders in sport. Building on the success of this new initiative, the organisation is pleased to continue the Victory Intern pathway again this year.

In recognition of the Kingsbridge Foundation’s generous support, the full programme will proudly operate as the Kingsbridge Foundation Victory Programme for 2025/2026.

This year’s programme welcomes three young ambassadors (1 Victory Scolar & 2 Victory Interns) who will represent both Sport Changes Life and the Kingsbridge Foundation across Northern Ireland for the current academic year.

Kingsbridge Foundation Victory Scholar – Jack Spellman (New Jersey, USA)

Jack Spellman joins the programme from New Jersey, USA, having graduated from Steven’s Institute of Technology. As this year’s Victory Scholar, Jack will:

  • Study for a Master’s in Marketing at Ulster University
  • Play for Ulster University men’s basketball team
  • Contribute 10–12 hours per week to community outreach initiatives with SCL

Jack will continue the long-standing tradition of Victory Scholars who use sport, education, and community outreach to inspire young people and support positive change.

Kingsbridge Foundation Victory Interns – Max Postiglione (Brussels, Belgium) & Prince Ebwea (Paris, France)

Following the successful introduction of Victory Interns last year, the programme proudly continues with two new international appointments:

  • Max Postiglione, from Brussels, Belgium
  • Prince Ebwea, from Paris, France

As Victory Interns, they will:

  • Play basketball for Ulster University men’s basketball team
  • Work with SCL as Sport Mentors contributing at least 15 hours per week supporting youth programmes, mentoring, and community development

Their presence will further strengthen the SCL’s programme reach, ensuring more young people benefit from engaging, motivational, and life-enhancing experiences through sport.

Alan Teggart, CEO of Sport Changes Life, shared his excitement on the support of the programme:

The Victory Programme plays a significant role within our organisation. With 191 Victory Scholars contributing to our legacy, and the success of last year’s introduction of Victory Interns, we are thrilled to see the programme continue. Jack, Max, and Prince will each play a vital role in the community, inspiring young people and acting as ambassadors for Sport Changes Life and the Kingsbridge Foundation. We are extremely grateful for the Kingsbridge Foundation’s support in making this possible, and I look forward to highlighting the difference they will make during their time in Northern Ireland.”

Dr. Martin Shields, Chair of the Kingsbridge Foundation, also commented:

We are delighted to support the Sport Changes Life Victory Programme for 2025/26. The programme has a long history of dedication to sport, education, and community outreach which aligns with the values we hold at the Kingsbridge Foundation. As ambassadors for the Foundation, they will leave a positive impact in the lives of young people and older adults, promoting health, wellbeing, and encouraging meaningful advancement within our local communities through sport.”

The Kingsbridge Foundation Victory Programme 25/26 builds on a legacy of nearly two decades of Victory Scholars, while embracing new opportunities through the Victory Intern initiative.

Together, these pathways offer a powerful model of using sport, education, and mentorship to change lives and tackle social inequalities.
