Hello everyone, my name is Jessica Boal and I am from Islandmagee in Northern Ireland. I am very excited to be joining Sport Changes Life and moving to Dubai to start the Dubai Business Internships. I graduated from Ulster University with a Bachelor of Science in 2016 and a Master of Science in 2017. I believe the Dubai Business Internship is the perfect next step for me and my personal development.
I love playing golf and during my time at Ulster University I was a golf scholar and I have represented Ulster and Ireland. My home course is Larne Golf Club where I was assistant secretary and captained various teams. I love coaching sport, especially focusing on increasing participation levels. For the past six years I have been coaching hockey in Belfast High School, golf at Larne Golf Club and gymnastics at GymFun Gymnastics Club.
I have worked for numerous sport governing bodies and enjoyed focusing on increasing performance and participation levels through various methods such as performance analysis, coaching programmes and community engagement programmes. My career aspirations are to work in management in the sport industry and pass on my love of sport to others. I am very much looking forward to working in Dubai and enhancing my business acumen to compliment my sporting knowledge. I am very thankful of this opportunity to become a Victory Scholar and join the Dubai Business Internship programme.
