Hey everyone! My name is Rebecca Rabeiro, and I’m very honored to be a part of Sport Changes Life family as a Victory Scholar. I am from Midland Park, New Jersey and I graduate from Dominican College with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and a Minor in Business. I was also a part of the Women’s Basketball team there for 4 years where I scored my 1000th point, was third team all-conference, and a team captain my senior year. I am beyond grateful to be attending Trinity College Dublin in the fall where I will be getting my masters in Financial Risk Management and continue playing basketball.
Basketball has always been a major part of my life and through basketball I was able to meet many influential people who became close friends, mentors, and even family. It wasn’t just a sport for me, it made me the well-rounded, strong person I am today. It taught me to be able to work as a team, work on communication skills, grow through diversity, learn new perspectives, and finding motivation. I am beyond blessed to be able to continue the sport I love as well as influencing others through this wonderful sport.
