Hello all! My name is Brandon Berry and I am beyond excited and honored to become a Victory Scholar and join the Sport Changes Life family. Coming from a military family, I’ve moved seven times throughout my life but when people ask I always tell them that I’m from Lorton, Virginia, about 25 minutes outside of Washington D.C (Go Wizards). I attended South County High School and graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration as well as a minor in French language studies. In addition to playing basketball at Etown I was a mosaic scholar for diversity and inclusion and a member of the school’s French club. During my collegiate years, I was fortunate enough to play with a great group of guys that will remain my friends for years to come as well as help guide the team to our best season since 2010 during my senior year.
Basketball has taken me to many incredible places, blessed me with the opportunity to meet amazing people, taught me valuable life lessons and gave me memories that will last a lifetime. During my stay in Ireland, I will be furthering my education by earning a Master’s Degree in Marketing at IT Sligo, continuing my basketball career at the University and National levels but most importantly mentoring and inspiring the youth in the community to achieve their own victories. I can’t wait to be immersed into the Irish culture and Sligo community. It is hard to put into words how excited that I am to continue my athletic career and education as well as positively impact the youth of Ireland! Let’s get to it!
