Hello all! My name is Zack Yonda. I am from Berwyn, Pennsylvania, just outside the city of Philadelphia (go Sixers!). I attended Conestoga High School and received my undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College, majoring in Economics and minoring in Educational Studies. At Swarthmore, I was a four-year letter winner and co-captain during my senior campaign. Each of my last three years I was named to the All-Conference & Academic All-Conference teams and helped lead my team to the college’s first ever conference championship in 2017. I finished my career fifth all-time in school history in points scored and hold the conference record for most consecutive free throws made during a season.
Basketball has given me lasting friendships, taught me valuable life lessons, and allowed me to travel the globe. It’s next gift is the opportunity to become part of the Sport Changes Life program, through which I will continue to play basketball in Ireland’s National League, further my education by earning a Master’s Degree in Marketing at IT Sligo, and coach/inspire the youth of Ireland. As the first Victory Scholar placed in Sligo, I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to continue my athletic career and education and introduce the city to the magic of Sport Changes Life!
