Hi everyone! My name is Dana DiRenzo. I am SO excited for the opportunity to live in the beautiful country of Ireland and join the Sport Changes Life family as a Victory Scholar. I am originally from the small town of Hammonton, New Jersey (which happens to be the Blueberry Capital of the world) and lived there with my family until I decided to attend St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. I have lived in NYC for the past four years and have loved every minute of it! I graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 2019 with both my Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in accounting. As a four-year member and two-year captain of the St. Francis College Women’s Basketball team, I am very proud of what we were able to accomplish in my time at SFC. We were ranked #1 among all Division I women’s basketball teams in the nation with the highest GPA – winning our first WBCA National Academic Title in SFC history. We also finished conference play in third place both my junior and senior years and hosted our first playoff game – all historical achievements!
I will be attending Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Donegal for my Master’s in Governance, Compliance and Data Protection in Financial Services. As a Victory Scholar, I will also play for the women’s basketball team and work with Sport Changes Life to inspire the young people of Ireland through coaching and mentoring. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue my education, to play the sport I love, and to make a difference in the lives of others. I cannot wait for this unforgettable experience!
