Biography

Hey Friends! My name is Deja Bullock and I am beyond exciting to be joining the Sports Changes Life family as a Victory Scholar! I’m from Magnolia, NJ, but have spent the last 4 years playing D1 women’s basketball at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. My senior year I was a captain of the team while also receiving Dean’s List honors. I studied Nutrition in preparation for my future career as a Physician Assistant.

While at La Salle I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Victory Scholar program. My past teammates that were Victory Scholars expressed to me that it was one of the most life changing experiences that they ever had. I feel this experience will help me grow as a person and make me more culturally competent.

I will be studying Strategy, Innovation and People Management at NUI Galway, while playing for the women’s basketball team and mentoring the youth of Ireland. Throughout the years and especially when I was younger, I was able to have people take me under their wing and mentor me. I am excited to have the opportunity to give back and do the same. I am a hard worker, I always give 110% and I know I can make a difference in the lives of the youth. I’m excited to be a great role model and represent what a Victory Scholar embodies.
