Hi everyone! My name is Ellen Graham and I am so excited to be a part of the Sport Changes Life family as a Victory Scholar. I am from Frankfort, Illinois which is just south of Chicago and I attended Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania where I played on the women’s basketball team. I was voted the recipient of the Most Improved Player award my senior year and consistently earned a spot on the Patriot League Honor Roll as well as Lafayette’s Student-Athlete Honor Roll. Over the course of my four years at Lafayette, I double majored in Government & Law and Religious Studies. In addition, I was a co-recipient of the Lyman Coleman Prize which is awarded annually to the senior(s) who demonstrated broad interest and superior performance in the Religious Studies Department, as well as Dean’s List honors during my final three semesters.
I am ecstatic to be attending Waterford Institute of Technology this year to earn my Masters in Business Management. To be given the opportunity to study abroad, continue playing the sport I love, and most importantly, give back to the Waterford community was something I could not pass up. I am excited to see how this extraordinary program and the children I will be coaching and mentoring will help me develop as an individual, and how I can help them mature into confident, determined future leaders in return. I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started!
