Hi everyone! My name is DaLacy Anderson and I am elated to join the Sport Changes Life team as a Victory Scholar. I am from Bolingbrook, Illinois, but have spent the past four years studying at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I was a four-year varsity athlete on the women’s basketball team and served on the Leadership Council my senior year. In my junior and senior year, I helped the team to capture consecutive Atlantic 10 Regular Season and Tournament Conference Championships, and NCAA First Round Appearances. While I have had success on the court, attending school in D.C. has also afforded me the opportunity to participate in amazing internships with the U.S. Department of State’s White House Liaison Office and the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, as well as work as an Event Captain at the International Spy Museum.
I will be obtaining a Master of Business Management Degree at the Waterford Institute of Technology, while playing for the women’s basketball team and serving the community. I will be working with Sport Changes Life to teach younger kids about basketball and living a healthy lifestyle, all while making a difference in the lives of young people in the community. I am extremely excited to study, play, and make a difference in Irish communities, and look forward to using this experience to build upon my future endeavors. I am beyond blessed and thankful for this opportunity and am eager to see what experiences are ahead for me!
