Hi my name is Maeve and I am so incredibly excited to be a part of Sport Changes Life as a Victory Scholar. I am from Rockland County New York, about 30 minutes North of the city. I just recently graduated from Manhattan College where I majored in Physical Education, and was a scholarship athlete all four years for the women’s basketball team. I am humbled to have made part of history, within my program, being the 12th person to make 100 career 3 pointers, as well as played in every game in my collegiate career. Additionally, I was on the All Maac Academic Team each eligible year and was named captain of Manhattan Women’s Basketball team my senior season.
I will be studying Sports Performance at Carlow Institute of Technology and playing for the women’s basketball team. I can’t wait to continue to play the sport I love. Also, I will be working with Sport Changes Life to positively impact the lives of kids through sports. I’m looking forward to traveling to Ireland and making new relationships throughout my time there. Basketball has led to my dream of playing division one basketball at Manhattan College. I am confident that I can make a life lasting impact on the youth in the community of Ireland. I’m ready to start this next chapter in my life!
