Hello! My name is Jim Gordon. I am from Broomall, Pennsylvania, which is just outside of Philadelphia. I attended high school at Malvern Preparatory School and went on to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. At Emory, I was a four-year letterwinner and named captain during my senior campaign. In my final season, I was selected to the All University Athletic Association Teams, leading my team to the program’s 5th straight appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament Championship. I finished my career as a two-time UAA Champion and appeared in the National Tournament each year.
Basketball has graced me with life lessons and opportunity for which I am fortunate and forever indebted. Among this long list, the acceptance to become a Victory Scholar stands alone. I am ecstatic to continue to play the sport I love, to achieve further education studying International Business at IT Carlow, and to coach and inspire the youth of Ireland. Ireland and its culture has always been a significant part of my upbringing and I am extremely eager to capitalize on this life-changing opportunity in this beautiful country.
