Hello, everyone! My name is Peter Hoffmann and I cannot wait to join the Sport Changes Life family. I grew up in Putnam Valley, New York where I attended Haldane High School. I received my undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, majoring in Public Policy. While at Hamilton, I co-captained the basketball program alongside fellow Victory Scholar, Michael Grassey. We helped lead our team to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, I was named to the NESCAC Second Team All-Conference each of my last three years, while accumulating 1,488 career points. I finished 9th all-time in school history for points scored and received Hamilton’s 2019 Riffle Award (Senior Athlete of the Year).
The game of basketball has helped me grow tremendously as a person and player, and I am looking forward to furthering my journey in Ireland. I will be attending the Cork Institute of Technology while pursuing a master’s degree in International Business and playing in Ireland’s National League. I am very excited about the opportunity to extend my academic and athletic career in Cork, alongside bettering the community with Sport Changes Life!
