Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Montecchio and I am extremely excited to join Sport Changes Life as a Victory Scholar this year. I’m from Aston, Pennsylvania, a small-ish town just outside of Philadelphia. I graduated from Rosemont College in 2013 with a degree in Humanities. During my senior year, I was able to lead my team to the most successful season in school history while becoming our school’s all-time leading scorer, our conference player of the year, and leading the nation (DIII) in scoring.
I will be studying Sports Management at University of Ulster, (Jordanstown Campus) this fall and playing for the women’s basketball team there. I’m excited to be a student-athlete again, but even more excited to work with Sport Changes Life and help make a difference in the community each day. As a recent graduate, I still can’t believe a scholarship program like this exists, let alone has been offered to me!
