Hello! My name is Cory Starkey. My hometown is Petoskey, Michigan. For my Undergraduate degree, I studied Economics at Bucknell University. During my stay in Ireland I will be studying for a postgraduate degree in International Finance at NIU Galway, as I would like to pursue a career in this field following my basketball career. I aspire to further educate myself by attending NIU Galway as well as by immersing myself in a different culture.
I am excited about learning in a different environment and experiencing a different perspective than I have in the past. I hope to inspire the youth of Ireland by teaching them through the sport that I have learned so many personal lessons from. Through my past experiences as well as from continuing my basketball career in Ireland I hope that I have a platform to make an impact on young people’s lives.
