Hi everyone! My name is Emily Leer and I am from Abington, a town outside of Philadelphia. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play basketball for Villanova University, recently graduating with a double major in Economics and Communication. I captained the team in my senior season, helping lead them to four straight post-season appearances. Last season, I was named in the Big-East Second Team and the Big 5 First Team, as well as being named the Big 5 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Villanova gave me the chance to thrive on and off the court, involving me in local Philadelphia society. Volunteering for numerous inner-city basketball camps and clinics, I realized my desire to become part of the greater community. I am thrilled to continue this journey to Trinity College in Dublin, to study Business and Management. My goal is to use basketball as a tool to inspire and motivate, as it has allowed me to accomplish more than I could have dreamed. I am eager to see what next year has in store!
