Hi all! My name is Jazmen Boone and I am honoured to be a part of Sport Changes Life as a 2015/16 Victory Scholar. I am from Virginia Beach, and graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, with a BA in Economics. With the Tribe, I was a student-athlete on the women’s basketball team, competing in the Colonial Athletic Association conference, and was named co-captain in my senior year.
Not only was our team dedicated on the basketball court, we enjoyed participating in volunteer activities in the Williamsburg community. I am thrilled to begin my journey studying Global Financial Information Systems at the Waterford Institute of Technology and to give back to the community, positively impacting the youth in Ireland. Past coaches, mentors, and teachers have guided me to my potential; I hope through my position, sharing past experiences, I can teach them. My blog will detail every step of my journey, enabling me to share my experiences with you.
